Good food. Recommend off the specials we got fish tacos and tortilla chicken soup. Fish tacos were great. Also got some fries and they were HOT. and delicious. Tortilla soup was not hit though. Barely warm don't know what happened. But it was really good so I ate it super fast. I also got the manhattan jack Daniel's special. I was warned they don't make good manhattans and that was quite true. To me it tasted like a dirty sock and watered down. lol but once I drank half of it the liquor kicked in and I stopped caring so much. But I normally make it at home with an American rye whiskey like bulleit and sweet red vermouth and bitters, which I was not getting notes of vermouth at all in this manhattan and whiskey wasn't strong. Anywho I still really like coming here and catching some live music too
One of my to go place for drinks and brunch previously but recently has been one of my favorite place to go for spring, summer and early fall because they are dog friendly outside. Might be too cold for late fall and winter for outdoor. Drinks are always delicious and strong -- I've had just classic amaretto sour, margaritas and mimosa to their menu drinks item the blackberry lemonade, watermelon margarita and state of mine. The food hasn't disappointed me yet. I've had the chicken & waffle, burgers, the omelette and probably more things that I can't remember but everything has been good and reasonably priced. I've always mostly good service as well. When I have my dog, we are offered water which is never necessary but awesome. Will be back soon.
The food and the restaurant were great ! I would say the service was pretty good too although sometimes the woman server seemed inattentive to us as she was to other patron. The ambiance was cool just like a regular bar in the hood. I don't think I'll be back tho at least not anytime soon.
We love moonshine!!!! It's very close by which is obviously a plus lol but they're also usually open when i wait too late and need a bite to eat. The food is tasty and it's a nice little place, but with more room than Id thought before - last time we went they were doing an event and took us up to another floor to eat :0
We were in Philly to catch the Braves for opening day. We ran intoMoonshine on our way to the stadium. Amazing atmosphere and great drinks. They even raffled off 2 tickets to the Phillies game. Would recommend.
Good food, very nice staff, all in all a great place, just a little pricey for me or I'd give 5 stars!
I was just passing by and hungry so I get an order to go, tried thier crab cake sliders and it was delicious! Definitely would be back again for it. Looks like a chill neighborhood bar! And they have outdoor seating as well if that's what you prefer!
